Step 1: Apply and Get your SMART MONEY CARD. Proceed to step # 2 if you have already the card
Here's how to get your Smart Money Account Number:
Note: If you already have a SMART MONEY ACCOUNT NUMBER skip these steps.
- YOU NEED A SMART BUDDY SIM CARD
- Text MONEY to 343
- Enter desired W-PIN (6-digits)
- Re-enter W-PIN, press OK
- Choose ‘Get Account’ press OK
- Select BDO
- Wait for the text message confirming the transaction and displaying your SMART Money Card number.

- Wait for the call of SMART to confirm your submitted info and follow their instructions.
Getting your SMART MONEY CARD:
-You can get a Smart Money Card through any Smart Wireless Center.
-You must be aged 12 years or older to be eligible for a SmartMoney account. Also, you need to submit a photocopy of a valid ID when you go to the Smart Wireless Center for the application.
-If you applied through a Smart Wireless Center, you can choose if you would like to receive the card through snail mail or if you'd want to just claim it through any Smart Wireless center you prefer.
-If you applied online, you will receive a call from a Smart rep informing you that your card is ready for pickup and just advise them where you'd want to pickup the card.
Things to do when you get your SMART MONEY CARD:
- Prepare PHP 120.00 for the processing fee
- Load up your Smart Money at least Php 200.00 (Php 150 is enough but to be sure load up more than that) for verifying your Paypal. You will get back the PHP 100.00 to your paypal account after verifying.

Step 2: Linking/Adding your Smart Money Card your Paypal Account
-You have to make sure you follow the steps below to prevent any problems when you link your SmartMoney account to your Paypal account
-Ensure Internet transactions are unlocked on your Smart Money account.
Unlocking Your Smart Momey Internet Transactions:
-To do this, go to your Smart menu and open SmartMoney. There should be "Internet Txns" menu option there.
-If you don't see it anywhere, you can call SmartMoney helpdesk and request for that menu to be activated OR text "internet" (without the quotes) and send to 343. This should activate the Internet Txns menu on your Smart menu.
-If Internet Txns is already available, select that and choose Unlock and pick your SmartMoney card name. You'll be asked to enter your PIN. Wait for the confirmation that Internet transactions are unlocked then proceed to the next step. You nedd Php 2.50 load on your prepaid account.
NOTE: Your Internet Txns will automatically locked after 30 mins or after 2 transactions.
-After doing that you will receive a confirmation that you have successfully unlocked your smart money card.
Step 3: Enter your Smart Money Account details to Paypal
Go to PAYPAL
Fill up all the information on the next page using your Smart Money card number, expiration date, etc.
- First Name: Juan
- Last Name: Dela Cruz
- Card Type: Master Card
- Card Number: Smart Money Number
- Expiry Date: Expiration date
- Security Code: The last 3 digit after the 16 digit account number at the back of the card
- Click "Save and Continue"
Note: Before clicking save and continue make sure you unlocked the Internet TXNS on your smart money menu. You must also have enough funds to your Smart Money at least PHP 150.00
You will received a confirmation from Paypal
You should received a text message from Smart that contains the "EXPUSE" and it includes a code that looks like "PP*####CODE". The #### numbers is the confirmation code you need to enter on your Paypal account to finish the verification process.
Note:
- As of January 2013: Paypal charges PHP 100.00 which will reflect on your paypal account, and a PHP 41.24 transaction charge of Paypal-to-smart money.
Step 4: Enter the Confirmation Code to Paypal
